Hey guys, I’m back from a weeklong out-of-state vacation. Sorry to drop the blogging ball so to speak. I don’t like to announce when I’m away from home, but I also had wrongly assumed that I’d find time to get online. Bad news, I think I spent far fewer hours online last week than I’ve spent any week this entire year. Good news? I spent far fewer hours online last week than I’ve spent any week this entire year. I really needed that time away and so did my family. We were in LA for a low key family event. My son had a blast running wild with a throng of kids. What more can you ask for when you are three?

Going back to my vacation, we were able to make it to the beach on our last day. I love the ocean. Our trip to LA was our big summer trip so this picture will have to last me for a long time. Here’s my/our moment of summer zen:
